A very interesting golfing guest showed up on the 11th hole of TPC Snoqualmie Ridge (near the tee box) this week, according to the club’s Facebook page.
Those who live near the course are familiar with wildlife sightings – deer, elk, cougars and bears – but this black bear seemed to almost be posing for the photographer…. maybe looking to see where his/her ball went?
TPC Snoqualmie Ridge shared the photo on its Facebook page on May 5, 2016 saying, “We heard him roar “Fore” on the 11th fairway.” Since then the photo seems to be making its way around social media.
The 11th hole is situated adjacent the Bandera neighborhood of Snoqualmie Ridge, as well as having access to some deep wooded areas of the Snoqualmie Valley. Needless to say, residents here are accustomed to bears, but it’s quite a sight to see them in daylight and standing straight.
Now that’s a golf course hazard – and a big bear!
